Bass Museum of Art
Established in 1963, Bass Museum offers exhibitions from its permanent collection and presents loan exhibitions from national and international collections. This was Miami's first public building with an exhibition space for the fine arts, and houses the collection of its founders, John and Johanna Bass.

Ancient Spanish Monastery
Built in Segovia, Spain, this monastery cloister is the oldest building in the Western Hemisphere. Newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst brought the building in pieces to America and Miami developers re-assembled the monastery on its current site in 1952.

FIU Wolfsonian Museum
The Wolfsonian collection contains artifacts primarily of North American and European origin, dating from 1885-1945. It comprises a variety of media: furniture; industrial-design objects; glass, ceramics, and metalwork; rare books; periodicals; ephemera; works on paper; paintings; textiles; and medals.

Deering Estate at Cutler
This is one of the most beautiful and unique parks in South Florida. More than 450 acres, offering tours of endangered natural areas, historic and archaeological sites, guided canoe trips to Chicken Key, recreational facilities and a breathtaking view of Biscayne Bay. The park contains the restored Richmond Cottage, portions of which date back to 1896, and the Mediterranean Revival winter home of Charles Deering, completed in 1922.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
This premier conservation and education-based garden and recognized international leader in conservation is dedicated to exploring, explaining and conserving the world of tropical plants. It houses the National Palm Collection, has the world's greatest living collection of palms and cycads; an education program reaching more than 30,000 school children per year; hosts popular events like the International Mango and Orchid Festivals, the Ramble, concerts, affiliated plant society shows and sales; and is a not-for-profit organization relying on the support of its 40,000 members and benefactors.

Miami Children's Museum
Includes 14 galleries, classrooms, parent/teacher resource center, Kid Smart educational gift shop, 200-seat auditorium and Subway restaurant. The museum offers hundreds of bilingual, interactive exhibits; programs and classes and learning materials related to arts, culture, community and communication.

Miami Science Museum
This Smithsonian Institute Affiliate features the world-premier exhibition The Dinosaurs of China, a Wildlife Center with rare birds of prey and reptiles, and fascinating Planetarium shows. Live science demonstrations and theater shows daily.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
Vizcaya was built by agricultural industrialist James Deering, who wintered on the property from 1916-1925. Today, the extraordinary European-inspired estate and National Historic Landmark includes a house filled with art and furnishings, and ten acres of gardens on Biscayne Bay.

Venetian Pool
A Venetian-style lagoon carved out of coral rock, this historic landmark and swimming pool features caves, stone bridges and waterfalls. Operates year-round. Call for information on rates and hours of operation. Children must be 38 inches tall or show proof that they are 3 years old. Open 7 days a week from Memorial Day through Labor Day, closed Mondays during the rest of the year.
